I would’ve loved it if after a bit of silence in the car with their hands limply holding like that, Tom’s expression changes, and he says:

“You know, Mattsen said something I really didn’t like.”

Shiv waits a beat, then her eyes flash before her face darkens. “Oh? … do you think maybe we should take him out?”

Tom seems to snap to attention for a moment. Their hands limply rest on each other.

Both of them hide their smiles by looking out opposite windows.
